Scout is a private pilot from Goosepad Studios, LLC. By using it, or by connecting an assistant to it, you agree to these terms. Last updated Oct 24, 2026.

What Scout does

Scout watches a reservation platform for tables that match a request you saved and either alerts you or, once you approve the exact request, books one reservation using your own account on that platform. A reservation platform means a restaurant booking service Scout supports and you have connected: Resy today, and others such as OpenTable if Scout adds them. Scout does not hold inventory, does not have a partnership with any reservation platform, and does not promise that any table will become available.

Whose reservation it is

Scout works for you, not for itself. It books only against a request you saved and approved, always in your name and in your own account on the reservation platform, and the reservation is yours the moment it is confirmed. Scout never books tables speculatively, never keeps reservations of its own, and never sells, auctions, or transfers a reservation to anyone. What you pay Scout for is the watching and the booking work, never the table itself. The same rule runs the other way: a table Scout helps you get is for you and your guests, as set out under Acceptable use.

Your reservation platform account

You connect your own account and remain responsible for it. Resy's Terms of Service prohibit automated access, and Resy may deactivate accounts it identifies as automated. You accept that risk. Cancellation and no-show fees are set by restaurants and charged through the platform to your payment method; Scout only books within the fee limits you approved.

Approval and fees

Automatic booking requires your approval of the exact dates, times, party size, and fee limits. Existing alpha accounts pay no Scout subscription or successful-booking fees. When Scout shows a booking credit for a qualifying High-demand or Rare Auto-Book Search, it applies automatically to one successful reservation and does not start a subscription. A new unpaid account has one free successful reservation found with Scout. After that reservation, a membership is required to keep searching, monitoring and using Auto-Book. Verified Auto-Book and qualifying alert or handoff matches consume the allowance once per provider reservation. Any unused booking credit stays available after subscribing; Scout does not start or charge for a subscription automatically. For paid accounts, the membership price, billing interval, renewal terms and any separate successful-booking fee are shown before you agree. Membership renews until cancelled through Manage membership; cancellation stops future renewals. A booking credit or no-card monitoring offer does not automatically become a paid subscription. A successful-booking fee applies only to an eligible booking Scout confirms and verifies against your account, at the amount you accepted for that request. Notifications and imported reservations do not incur that fee. Cancelling a reservation later does not automatically refund a completed Scout booking service; contact support for refund review. Restaurant charges are separate from Scout fees. When you newly confirm or reconfirm an Auto-Book Search, its per-person restaurant-fee limit covers disclosed upfront deposits and possible cancellation or no-show charges together. Scout will not assume a deposit offsets a later charge without verified terms, and will not book an unknown or over-limit charge. Older Searches retain their original no-upfront-charge approval until reconfirmed. Managing or cancelling a reservation happens in your own account on the reservation platform.

For enrolled accounts only, the manual OpenTable pilot uses your own OpenTable account for individually reviewed tests. OpenTable's terms restrict automated browser access without its authorization and allow it to suspend access or cancel reservations. Scout does not claim OpenTable authorization. Each test requires review of the exact table and applicable terms; pilot access does not authorize ordinary monitoring or a new booking.

Text alerts

Scout text alerts are transactional messages about your own Searches and reservations: a table opening that needs your decision, a booking Scout completed, a swap that needs review, or an account that needs reconnecting. They are never marketing, and Scout does not send promotional texts. You opt in inside Settings by entering your mobile number, agreeing to receive Scout texts, and confirming a code sent to that number; nothing is sent before those three steps. Message frequency varies with how many Searches you run and how often tables open. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any Scout text to end them — that clears your number, your consent and your text preferences, and switching them back on requires verifying the number again. Reply HELP, or write to the address on the support page. Email and in-app notifications continue either way. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Assistants

You may connect AI assistants and issue personal access tokens. You are responsible for what those assistants do within the permissions you grant, and for keeping tokens confidential. Revoke them on the Assistants page if in doubt.

Acceptable use

A reservation Scout helps you get is for you and your guests. Do not sell, auction, trade, or transfer one for anything of value; do not use Scout to obtain tables for people who have not asked you to; and do not use Scout to interfere with a reservation platform or with restaurants. Goosepad Studios, LLC may suspend accounts that do.

No warranty

Scout is provided as is, during a pilot, without warranty of any kind. Goosepad Studios, LLC is not liable for missed tables, fees charged by restaurants or a reservation platform, or actions a reservation platform takes on your account. Its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Scout.
